Back bay canal

  1. That looks almost rustic.

And so clean! I envy you that. Manila's waterways have become garbage dumping grounds throughout the decades and it will take massive amounts of money and manpower (and discipline!) to get them clean again :(

  2. Love those cloud banks and the stilt-like buildings like so many herons getting their feet wet.

  3. Looks like this could have been shot anytime in the last 100 years. Well done.

  4. @ Hilda - It's probably not as clean as it looks in the photo...but the problem of humans living like pigs is a problem all over the world...

Fortunately, things can be cleaned up. There was a time when you could develop film in Lake Erie...and now, I understand, it's been cleaned up beautifully.

  10. Could those cloudes be any fluffier? Do people live here full time or are these weekend fishing shacks?

  11. A quite canal and wooden piers! Love it! This is the kind of atmosphere I want to feel when visiting Florida. (Did I ever mentioned I only know Miami airport? Lol!)

  12. This looks like it should be a movie set. I'm sure those perfect clouds are a backdrop and will be rolled up in time for the next scene.

  13. I like that back bay canal. Very interesting. I wonder what's swimming down there? Thanks for visiting Astoria again. I think there must have been half a sun break at the moment I took the photo of the Lady Washington :)
