John Lloyd Park - Dania

John Lloyd Park offers a great beach for swimming in the Atlantic; picnic tables; areas in which to play ball; concession stands; rest rooms; and facilities for boating. Dania, Florida is a small community between Hollywood and Fort Lauderdale; very popular with Canadian tourists during the winter months.

  4. There's water on both sides of this stretch of land, right? I can see why tourists like it though I prefer more secluded places!

  7. @ Leia...not on a boat...but a small bridge that connects this section to another part of the park on the Intercoastal Waterway. It's a very nice park; we've had lots of good times there!

  8. @ Ciel - Yes, the Atlantic is just over the "horizon." You'd like the area directly behind where this photo was taken...a relatively quiet spit of land fronting the Intercoastal Waterway.
