The Sawgrass Motel, located on the dock in Cedar Key, just across from the new pier, is a rather funky-looking place, but would certainly put you in the center of the action!
We haven't been inside for awhile, but there's a gallery on the first floor for those of you who would like to shop for Florida-type stuff and Cedar Key specific items.

I just skimmed through your earlier posts and couldn't find it. But it sure was a pleasure going back and looking through this body of photographs. They're really outstanding.

ReplyDeleteIt does look more western than southern. I like the spindle work in the railings, they look like sunshine spindles.

ReplyDeleteI often think of Florida in these colors, whether it's true or not (obviously not all the time). This just seems quintessential "Floria Postcard" to me. Have I seen too many "Flamingo Motels," maybe? Nice designs and colors!
