Nice place! Although this one looks pretty high in the air and the foundation posts look pretty substantial, there are some there even higher...which look pretty strange. I do like the thickness of these posts a lot. Even when the water is coming in the windows at least the house will be standing after the floods recede.
Is the house on stilts like that so an ocean surge will go under instead of through the house? It is a nice looking house.
ReplyDeleteHi Clueless - Yes. All new construction must be built up like that...in fact, that's true along most of the Florida coast, I believe.
ReplyDeleteDoesn't mean it can't get washed away anyway, though!
Looks like we've got a couple coming! Yikes!
Nice! And it comes with built-in shade, which might be a good idea! I like this place!
ReplyDeleteHow much per month? Batten down the hatches, Jacob. Hope these storms don't live up to predictions.
ReplyDeleteFar too many are for rent this summer.
ReplyDeleteOh I love it!! Looks like an awesome place.
ReplyDeleteHaven't I already seen this... maybe from the other side? This house has a lot of potential, I can imagine myself in there very well! ;-)
ReplyDeleteOh yes ma'm it is. Go on and pay for a month for me. I'll pay you back.... I swear!!!
ReplyDeleteV
Sure it would do for a nice holiday!
ReplyDeleteGod bless you!

Now we're talking. I wouldn't mind hanging around here for a while. An opinion subject to change with the winds, I suppose...

ReplyDeleteI really like the color of the house but I'm afraid of the high tide ...
ReplyDeleteGreat picture - there is also a pelican! -
:-)
