The Cedar Key grocery store

While there are a couple of small 7-11 type stores in Cedar Key, this is the only grocery store.

  1. I guess I didn't realize. You're in a fairly small community then??

  2. Nice blue colour. And, why this store is close? ^__^

  3. I like it! The mural, the blue, the thingy above the door. But it's clooooosed!

  4. The mural looks pretty nice, too. You will have to get a shot of that and show us.

  5. @ Permenmint - The photo was taken early evening...probably about eight pm. Things close down early in Cedar Key...except for a few bars...

  6. @ Don & Krise - We live in Ocala, which is 75 miles east and a bit south of Cedar Key. Cedar Key is an island and a very small community; it's main industries are fishing and tourism.

Ocala, on the other hand, has about 50,000 within the city limits, but probably 3-4 times that in the immediate area.

  7. I think it's great that the awnings cover the windows but the one of the doors is missing something. Oh, right, the canvas covering. Hey, we're the only grocery store. Get over it.

What do foreigners think of their choice of paint colors??)

  9. What about those "ice" devices? Does one buy ice or is there free ice to be had for anyone who just purchased a soft drink?

  10. @ Per Stromsjo - Those ice boxes contain bags of ice which one must buy...no free ice!
