The swimming area at Rainbow Springs

The water in this spring-fed swimming area is 72 degrees year-round. Too cold for me. But lots of people swim there, in spite of alligators in the area!

  1. I couldn't read the aligator sign, but I have to tell you I've done worse than this... twice! LOL! At least things seem to be under control here.

  3. It's a beautiful area -- the color of the water is outstanding! And the alligator sign would keep me out standing on the edge. :)

  4. Right! I don't care how deep the water is, I can float, but as much as I like animals, I think the sign would have me looking for the ocean instead.

  8. Kinda scary for me. Have you seen an alligator there. Is it just a precaution? Where's the pool? I think that would be where I'd swim. MB
