The Goethe State Forest is a 53 thousand plus acre multi-use forest administered by Florida's Division of Forestry. There are trails for hiking, biking, horseback riding, etc. It is located due west of Ocala, not too far from Dunellon, Florida.
For sure this Forest is bigger than the park that we visited yesterday here.Nevertheless we have walked a lot! After about 3 hours, I thought "we are lost" LOL, I need to say I have no sense of directions, but finally Cezar ( my hero ) found the correct trail! Beautiful picture, those trees are huge! :) Léia
Thank you for answering my question, Jacob. It would be a bit strange if there was any connection to the german writer/philosopher, the only Goethe I know who died long ago... LOL!
Very inspiring place.
ReplyDeleteAnd ummm, any relation to Goethe?
ReplyDeleteWhat an unusual name for a forest... Certainly a lovely place...
