Round and round we go

This beautiful little bench is located in the "garden" area of what was Lake Sumter Landing's Veranda restaurant. The bench is still there, but the Veranda is gone. In the same building where the Veranda was located will be a Panera Bread. Yeah!

Florida ducks

This is an old, scanned photo, taken at Silver Springs Park about 22 years ago. What surprises me, even though I took the photograph, is that I don't recall seeing this particular brand of duck anywhere in Florida! I wonder if they were some exotic breed brought in to the park to give the tourists a thrill?

I apologize for the image quality.

Cedar Key Cat house

There were more cats but several scrambled away when they saw me walk by with a camera. Camera-shy cats! How many can you see in the photo?

Gateway to music, dancing and fun - Lake Sumter Landing

Warning sign - stoplight ahead. Altamonte Springs, Florida

Home with a view

This beautiful home backs up to Main Street, and looks out over the marina to the dock area. It has changed very little in the 22 years we have been visiting Cedar Key.

Treading carefully - Spanish Springs

Deaf child

"Deaf child" means don't drive fast on this country road, even if you have a big, noisy pickup. The child won't hear you until it's too late.

Our favorite ever-sinking ship (Lake Sumter Landing)

Crepe myrtles posing against a bleu Florida sky

Most of our crepe myrtles are no longer blossoming...thus, this picture was taken a few months ago. Our skies are still bleu, however!

Back door to pure pleasure...

If you are wandering about Spanish Springs and have a craving for ice cream and would prefer people not see you indulging that craving, you may enter Kilwin's through the back door and enjoy chocolates, fudge, and ice cream in private!
