Lady Lake Church of God has risen

Just over three years ago, the Lady Lake Church of God was leveled by a fierce tornado. The congregation has since erected a new church building, which we photographed last October. This building and the property bears no resemblance to the property and the building that was hit by the tornado.

People out in the rural areas can be quite friendly sometimes. I had just stopped to take a picture of this building when a pickup truck pulled in and parked in front. A young man stepped out of the truck, saw that I was photographing the building, and offered to move his truck so I could get a better shot.

I said no because I liked the truck there. But his was a nice gesture!

Always Something - Dunnellon, Florida

Always Something is a very nice little shop "In the Heart of the Historic District" in Dunnellon, Florida. Here you can find antiques, gifts, collectibles and "previously loved furniture."

The shop is owned by Bonnie Lewison, who runs a local newspaper, but is operated on a day-to-day basis by her mother, Nell Rhodes, pictured above.

Nell is a most interesting person and she loves to engage people in conversation. Stop by Always Something if you ever find yourself in Dunnellon.
