Born Again Country

The name refers to the fact this shop sells a variety of used items; items that have been "born again." The name is a natural, however, because this town is located in the Bible Belt where quite a few people claim to be "born again." It's a religious thing.

Rainbow Springs Swimming Hole

This photo has been subjected to the "Orton" effect. And yes, there are gators in that water. A warning sign has been posted. People swim at their own risk. This is a spring and the water stays at exactly 72 degrees F all year.

Bob

This creature on top of the "mountain" is Bob. He likes to sit up on top of that mountain and act like he owns the world. Bob is a goat. He is a mean goat. Do not get close to Bob because he will butt you with his horns. He'll try to butt you over the fence! Bob is not nice. If I owned Bob, I'd sell him to a prison petting zoo!

Christmas display at Peddler's Wagon - Eustis, Florida

I have to admit I have never seen such a Christmas display...it was brilliant and elegant and incredibly
colorful!

Peddler's Wagon - Eustis, Florida

This is an incredibly beautiful store. It seems that the town of Eustis carries on its Christmas celebration well into the New Year. Peddler's Wagon is an extraordinary gift shop and had some of the most gorgeous Christmas decorations we have ever seen, as you shall see in tomorrow's post.

The day we were there, an attractive young lady went through the store offering customers a cool, refreshing drink from a tray she carried in her hands! Hard to beat that kind of welcome!
