Tampa Bay Times Forum
The Tampa Bay Times Forum was originally named the Ice Palace and was built as a home for the Tampa Bay Lightning hockey team. But the first event was a circus! Down through the years, it has hosted concerts; ice hockey, basketball, and even football games, as well as wrestling and boxing matches, figure skating and rodeos.
This year, following a $35 million renovation, it will serve as the site for the Republican National Convention: August 27 - 30.

The Columbia Cafe - Tampa
The Columbia Cafe has been a Tampa tradition since 1905. We tried their lunch menu and the service and food were both excellent. You can read more about Columbia's history here.

Crapo and Yoho
It's election season in the good ol' US of A and our communities are inundated with electioneering signs urging people to vote for specific candidates.
If you go a few miles north of Ocala, to the little towns of High Springs and Newberry, for example, you can vote for Crapo and Yoho.

Unloading at the Tampa Bay History Center
We watched this truck pull out from under the building and drive away. It was huge. It would take a very skilled driver to be able to back the entire length of the truck into that small opening in the lower section of the history center.
