As most of you know, we recently flew to Colorado to be with our daughter who was recovering from major surgery. She is improving and doing well. Ironically, about 36 hours ago, I contracted what is euphemistically called a "food-borne" disease, but should be more accurately termed "gastro-intestinal hell"! I'm improving, too, but it will be awhile before we're back home and back to normal. At that time, I'll do my best to catch up on your blogs and commenting.
Thank you for your various expressions of concern and care. This is a great blogging community of which to be a part.

A Florida Icon
This is representative of the machines which have been tearing up Florida for years. It continues today - we call it paving over Paradise - and in that sense the machine provides an appropriate icon for the State.

The dock/marina - Naples, Florida
This was scanned from a photo taken about 23 years ago, thus the quality is not very good. The Naples dock/marina was always a very colorful and busy place. We haven't been there for several years so don't know if it still looks like this or not.

Another look at the new pier
Photo by Lois Anne. This was taken a few months ago. Some things on the new pier have changed since then, which we'll show in future photos.

What a fine mess this is!
Over the years, I've taken several shots of this house. It always looks about the same - just as you see it here. Only the bikes have changed. Well, maybe some other things, too.
