At all times of the year, Florida's roads are filled with motorcycles. But on a few occasions bikes seem to dominate the highways and byways. Daytona Beach holds a "Bike Week" twice a year which draws about a quarter of a million bikers on each occasion, and other towns in Florida also have "Bike Weeks."
This group stopped in the town of Micanopy for a few hours to visit the antique shops and grab a bite to eat. I caught their tail lights as they hit the road.
I should mention that the overwhelming majority of bikers ride Harleys.

Wow, what a beautiful place.. Perfect to ride my Road King classic - when I'll be lucky enough to have one - with my son on the back seat. Great pic! I just regret we can't have the sound...
OOOO I wish I were riding one of those. That's a very pretty road, too.
Great shot Jacob! Were you on the road too?
Kind Regards
Léia
Those trees make the shot, in my opinion!
"Move along, please!"
Biking is kind of demand for freedom, I think.
An atmospheric image.
'EASY RIDER'! :-)
It looks great and always amazing for me!
Thanks to all for your comments. You might be interested to know that this was a group of "middle-aged" folks, I'd guess in their 50s and perhaps early 60s.
Jacob,
Thanks for posting this great photo. It is a beautiful riding road called the Loop right here in the Daytona Beach area. Bikers make it a point to go up there and ride around. It's what its all about. Thanks again for the great shot and remember, its not to early to plan for Biketoberfest(R) which happens the third weekend of October. Ride the "loop" and see for yourself. Ahhhhhh.....
@ Janet - Thanks for writing, Janet. I don't ride (sigh), but would love to...maybe some day. Your website is superb. Thanks for coming by Florida Fotos!
