The Blackwater Inn is something of a Florida icon, serving good food and drinks for a number of years. It is located on the St. John's River, just off Highway 40, in Astor, Florida.
Oh thanks---I am slowly (very slowly) learning this stuff--terminology too. See I can crop and now lighten up a picture so you can see what really is there. That is why I posted the fort again. Anyway that's my story. MB

Could you reserve a window seat for my next visit to Florida, please?
I wonder if Astor was named for the flower or if John Jacob got his influence this far south.
Boat right up, eh. What did you do to the pic? Solarize it? MB
Looks and sounds good to me!
@ MB - You're close. I polarized it!

It seems that Astor may be named for John Jacob's grandson, William...and several other Astor's succeeded him...
Interesting story!
@ Brattcat - Of course! Just let us know when you're coming!
