Definitely some kind of Cyperus, a Papyrus 'cousin'. I enjoy this plant very much, have kept lots of them, both in water and potted too.
I do love those water plants, there's something mystical about them with their roots out of sight where the fish and turtles swim (and in your case, the alligators). Nice photo, very refreshing.
