With the running of the Kentucky Derby tomorrow afternoon, it seemed appropriate to post this photo congratulating Williston's Foolish Pleasure for his win back in 1975.
I wouldn't even know what this meant.... if I didn't have a daughter who studied these "types" of historical events and shared them with me:) Love that name;))
I, too, love the name!!! I was going to make some other remark--but not now. I used to keep track of the Derby Winners--but not any more and I don't really know why. MB
I had to look up and find out that "foolish pleasure" was the name of a horse. My ignorance! Anyway it's an amusing name! And it's interesting that a town celebrates its famous son being a horse... :) God bless you! Cezar
