The wind caught this pelican a couple of times and he almost lost his balance, flapping his wings until he could stabilize. Meanwhile, another guy with a camera tried to get his picture...
This picture is amazing. I love how the pelican is posing for the photos and his feather pattern and colors are beautiful. I think a pelican is one of the most magnificent birds to catch on film. They look incredibly graceful in the air and in photos, while at the same time are goofy and humorous when they are caught on video.

Wow! What a fabulous shot!
Man, were you at the right place at the right time. That one guy's face tells it all. Great, great shot Jacob. It makes me smile big time.
He is more mottled (and darker) than I am used to, Jacob.
The moment I saw the photo I thought of Finding Nemo... :-D
I don't know...he almost seems to be enjoying himself, like a child trying to balance on a ball.
You made me laugh like the guy in the second pic! Fantastic close-up of his feet, though both are wonderful captures!
He is cute dear Jacob, fabulous shot with this background in perfect blue!
I doubt that guy could get more...
Your picture is excellent!

Why DO these birds DO this. It's amazing to see.
@ Frank - They are birdbrains? ;-)
I think he looks kind of proud of himself! That's a wonderful shot Jacob.

This is too funny. Poor thing, it looks so uncomfortable!
Great posture! Glad you captured it!
Such oddballs, yet so lovable.
Is incredible! An extraordinary picture!
Too funny! From a distance he must have looked like part of the light fixture.
Good pix for "How do you spell R.E.L.I.E.F" ad?
Good Florida pelican shot.
