Derelict fishing boat leaking away at Lake Sumter

In keeping with the Disneyesque tradition, the powers-that-be brought in this derelict boat and anchored it in Lake Sumter; to lend, I think, a bit of reality to what is essentially an unreal situation.

It's cute though, sitting there, leaking away.

An unreal situation? There is a tradition in France of letting ships sink or simply rot on the shore in "boat graveyards". We call them "carcasses" and I love them! This is a beautiful example and caught in beautiful light!

Hello Jacob! This Lake is fantastic indeed!
It's a pity see this boat in this situation , but I agree with your thoughts.
One more time a great shot ! Congratulations!
God bless you

I like your boot-shots so much, Jacob. They have the paragon of perfection and a longing for seafaring.
