The ever-sinking ship

We've posted evening/night photos of the ever-sinking ship previously. This is what it looks like mid-morning. It will probably never really sink. Remember, this is Disneyland for adults!

The Waterfront Inn - Lake Sumter Landing

If you wish to visit The Villages, and Lake Sumter Landing in particular, you may want to book a room at The Waterfront Inn, which overlooks, naturally, Lake Sumter.

On the floating dock at Eustis

The city of Eustis, Florida, has installed a number of floating docks on the waterfront to serve boaters coming and going.

Lois Anne decided she might find the perfect shot if she went out on one of them. I think I'm the one who got the perfect shot!

Lookout

Part of the Old Fenimore Mill condo complex, this extended but short pier is a great place to sit and look out as various boats leave and enter the channel.

A trust company with a bell tower

Main street in Lake Sumter Landing. A trust company with a cupola and bell. Would you trust such a company?

Daytime on the boardwalk - Lake Sumter Landing

We've shown many evening and night views of this area. This shot was taken late morning a couple of days ago giving a partial view of the boardwalk area at Lake Sumter Landing.

Lookin' for trouble?

The road in front of our daughter's home in South Florida is unpaved and the house is located a quarter of a mile from a regular city street. Every so often people drive up the road, some of them looking for trouble.

These young men drove up, turned around, and headed off when they saw me taking their picture.

Do you like the camo outfits they're wearing?

Looking for gators at Lake Sumter Landing?

Student meeting place?

Students at Stetson University can meet and greet, and get something to eat at this outdoor "cafe." Not a bad way to kill time between classes.

How do I get off this darn post?

Fleur-de-lis

In Epcot, at the end of the "Seine" near the French pavilion, you will find this beautiful, flowery fleur-de-lis.

Welcoming totem pole

One of the restaurants on the dock want you to feel welcome, and thus has erected this fine totem pole.

A decorative waterwheel

So far as I can tell, this waterwheel in Lake Sumter Landing is purely for decoration. I think it looks nice, though.
