Thanks all! Brattcat, this was taken early evening...and yes, they cast a golden glow...Rose - I wish you hadn't asked that as now I can't remember exactly how many of these posts there are - I'm sure there's another one by a stairway, but it didn't look nearly as good as this one did.
Boy those are really neat lamps. I would have to find somebody to make me a replica if I lived there. Wow.
