My my that looks like autumn already, shutter, shutter. On the other hand, it is a lovely shot.

This is a beauty, Jacob. I love the warm color of the grass in contrast with the cool grays and whites. Very nice.

I think I've already said this: it looks a lot like northern Germany, the island of Rügen to be precise. Maybe the grass is greener there, though, with less trees. Nice, peaceful shot.

Look at all that blue sky. I think the weather guys have been lying to us about all the rain you are getting in Florida just to keep out the rabble.

Lovely! Is it brackish water?

Jacob said...

@ JM - I really don't know, JM. I'd guess it is not, but rather is salt water.

@ Antjas - Nah...some of my best friends down here are from Mass! ;-))

@ Ciel - I've never been to northern Germany so I'll have to take your word for it, but I have been struck on various occasions how areas are similar around the world...

@ Frankie / Nick - No, not autumn...that's the parts of Cedar Key look in the winter...and this was taken a couple of months ago...I'd expect it would have greened up some by now; we'll find out as we're going back over soon...

It looks like a nice spot. I'm curious too how much it looks like Northern Germany; I'd like to find out myself some day, but I would guess CdQ would know.

I'd love to be there to explore that area!

This lovely scene. I love your template. Did you design it yourself? How do you get your photos to display so nicely in such a large format?

To answer your question-- I've been to Catalina a number of times. The first time was in 1962 as a surprise birthday present. My husband took a trip with our local ham radio club to the Two Harbors area of Catalina.

Hi Sarah - If you'll send me an e-mail at yanson2@aol.com, I'll explain in detail how I set up this blog...

Thanks for your kind words.

Catalina is very nice from what I have heard...
