The Salon Professional Academy

Located just off Highway 466 in The Villages, this is where you might wish to go to learn how to be a professional hair dresser. There also appears to be a full-service salon on the premises, which allows students to learn by doing.

I like the idea of learning by doing. What do the customers look like when they come out?

Well, EG, we didn't hang around to find out but I've heard their haircuts are rather square with a dome kind of thing on top and most have a red, white and blue dye job!

Heh. Heh.

It looks like there's a bison weather vane. How cool. In the 17th (?) century they had those tall hairdos with ships in them. Maybe you get a bison at this place.

@ Tapirgal - I think the reason for the bison is that there is a herd of bison in The Villages - we first saw them about 7 years ago when we first visited there...

I'm not sure if they're being raised for food or fun.

You have a very good eye!

I always love the colours in this blog! The Villages seem to be very vibrant and cheerful.

This could be dangerous: they need 'guinea pig' to be trained.

If one of the hair salon students cuts off too much, can they glue some of it back on??

Forgive me Jacob, but this comment is just for my sweet friend Lois Anne.
Girl, I would be very happy to learn something about Salon, mainly about haircut! I'm getting crazy because I know no one ( to give me some good hint about a "good Salon" around). In fact there are several Salons near my place but I'm always afraid of to do some "test" in those salons. So, I decided to do it by myself!I had a little 'test' about haircut yesterday and hummm I liked the result! I cut my hair just a little bit. Cezar liked it and Luna as well, she was all paws up about! LOL
Okay, maybe it's better to get some information and go to the professional salon next time!( anyway I liked this adventure!)
Very interesting post my friends!
Léia :)

I don't know if I would be brave enough to try a student haircut, but it looks like a nice place to learn~
