Oh, my. Does that look familiar - but not quite, because I don't see this green shipping line on our river. I do love the container ships, though. The boxes make for such a colorful scene. I also love the palm front framed in the front - which you won't find in Astoria!

Those container barges are so interesting with their rectangles of color. I also really like the composition of this with the grass in the foreground.

Interesting. I was just reading about this huge supersized container ship out of China---about six times the size of that one. Sad in a way.

My "logistics" mind, before being able to pay attention to the colours of this beautiful picture, thinks first about the customs documents of the cargo, the port taxes, the integrity of the material transported... :)

I'm always impressed at how massive these really are. It's not until you stand on shore and see them that you realize, either... at least I didn't.
