Old engine in Gulf Hammock

This old engine is located off Highway 19 near Gulf Hammock, Florida. It is enclosed by a chain-link, barbed-wire fence. Must have some significance to someone.

The need for chain-link and barb-wire seems excessive. No tracks to drive it away and it would need a crane to move it. It's a nice old engine.

Maybe they're afraid someone will steal it.

I'd love to see this!

Wouldn't it be fun to be a kid and have that for your playground.

Barbed wire too? Seems a bit much. MB

It's beautiful, but so sad that it's there without restoration! It's vintage!

This is so cool! Shame on the barb wire as I would definitely steal it and take it home! :-)

Unless enclosed, over here it'd be spray-painted all over in no time.
