Strange palm trees

Some Florida palm trees have palm fronds. Others seem to have lights and bars. Weird!

The ones with the fronds seem to be having a 'bad hair day'. And the lights on the others are very interesting (read 'old').

Ha, that's a funny one!
In one of the central streets of Joinville, the city we lived in Brazil, there's a palm tree whose trunk divides itself in two from half height up! It's an interesting one. I tried to find a pic of it but couldn't for the moment...
God bless you!

It seems that some of these palms have seen the light.
