SS American Victory

"Welcome aboard the American Victory Ship! As one of the 4 fully-operational WWII ships in the country, the American Victory ship is a national treasure and true American icon. [...] Come aboard and witness virtually the entire ship including cavernous three-level cargo holds, radio and gyro rooms, hospital, galley, weaponry, steering stations, flying bridge, signaling equipment, wheelhouse, mess halls, crew cabins, lifeboats, the Captain's quarters, cargo equipment and the engine."

Although this ship is considered a maritime museum honoring those who served in the American Merchant Fleet, it does offer cruises around Tampa Bay twice per year. Much more information is available at the website here.

hello again,
that picture I took in 2005, in our trip to Marseille,I used a filter to change some colors and give it a feeling of vintage postcard. :)
Glad that you liked it!

Wow, love the shot, especially the way you included the blue sky and clouds.

I can't imagine a cruise on a warship, but it must be fascinating. Great photo, Lowell!
