The Florida Turnpike runs from the south of Miami up past Orlando about 50 miles where it merges with I-75. Over the past couple of years, the state has constructed new plazas about every 45 miles. I was surprised to find they were so attractive. The Ft. Drum plaza's building reminds me of an airline terminal - it is huge with lots of glass and high ceilings; lots of restaurants and places to sit and relax; and the restrooms are very nice.

I always enjoy stopping at these rest areas. The turnpike is so boring and the spacing is good. The state of GA has none.
Wow. I wish we had something like this, but smaller. Especially if the toilets are nice...
They are indeed nice. I'm in FL now and I stopped at one and bought a Sun Pass. Quite convenient.

Great looking modern building.
It is true that the building reminds an airport terminal. But it's modern architecture. It's nice. I prefer a building with history. I feel to better there.
