The old Captain's Table

It has changed hands, and now consists of a bar on the main level and a restaurant on the top level. For years it was a restaurant known as the Captain's Table. We have often sat out on the far end of the dock, celebrating a birthday or an anniversary, sipping margaritas, washed with the colors of the setting sun.

I guess it doesn't really matter what they call it, to us it will always be known as the Captain's Table.

What a gorgeous old pier. It looks a little fragile but do hope it's not. Something like this should go on forever.

This is a beautiful shot, Lois Anne. I can smell the water and the sea food. I love the moody sky and the yearning reach of the dock.

Outstanding shot !
I loved the composition and this place seems very cool indeed! I have never tasted "margaritas"! Is it really good?I guess this kind of drink is very traditional there.
Here in Brazil "Caipitinha"is the most popular one! I tasted once, but in fact it is a little tough for me! A glass of red wine will be good , please!

Dear Leia - I think a person of your inimitable taste would find a margarita to be just about the perfect drink, so long as it was frozen and the glass rim was crusted with salt!

I can see why you like the place so much! I'll have a Mojito please!

Very respectful to allow the horizon to just peak above the outstretched arm of the pier. The two of you do such justice to the many piers in your local area. I never tire of seeing them. I like very much the way that salt water has with timber.

Thanks for visiting the sky and ships on my Astoria blog. It's fascinating living on the water, isn't it? You don't need TV :)

I like this picture. It reminds me of some sites around Jupiter, Florida.
