Paris in Central Florida

The people who designed Epcot's World Showcase went to great lengths to attain a certain amount of authenticity. This is France. The Eiffel Tower is inaccessible but you can see the Seine and some of the things one might see along the Seine - a bicycle, an artist's easel, a small boat, etc.

We'll be showing more of France in Florida over the next couple of days. While they have replicated French-looking buildings, there is no replica of Notre Dame.

This photo was cross posted at Fotoerase.

@ Chris - Oh, yes, the real one is very much better! This is just for fun and it was fun. But I want to go back to the real one!

Well, I'm afraid I prefer to see things where they belong... These kind of replicas allways seem to be so out of place (that's why I will never go to Vegas in my life, just not my cup of tea at all! Lol!)... But these seem to be very well done, of course!

@ JM - You are absolutely right. But we just went with the flow and enjoyed it a lot. There's a little French restaurant in which we had lunch which was excellent and everyone working there was French, from France. That was fun. The food was excellent.

It sure as hell wasn't Paris, though!
