More of Micanopy's Doc Hollywood Days

It appears this first shot is of a replica of a Micanopy house from years ago (notice it's on wheels though).

The young man in the second photo is a hunter of fossils, shark teeth, etc. He said most of what he finds is on top of the ground. Because we arrived later in the afternoon, he was packing up his treasures to sell another day. I'm not sure why he was decorated the way he was but he was not nearly as fierce as his appearance might suggest.

Photo number 3 is simply a look down the main street at some of the activities going on.

The next shot is of a small antique store, which, as I recall, is open only on weekends.

We ate lunch at the cafe pictured. It was small and crowded, and full of touristy items for sale, but the food was excellent. Lois Anne ordered a cheese sandwich which came with six different kinds of cheese. I had the best Cuban sandwich I've ever eaten!

Photos by myself and Lois Anne.

Just imagine finding the little house on wheels on a road! It surely would be very cool! :-)

And now I'm beset by hunger for a big and delicious sandwich, Jacob.
