University of Florida dock

The University of Florida has its own dock and marine equipment in Cedar Key. I would guess it is to further enhance marine research done by the university. I've never seen much activity here and the dock as you can see is kept under lock and key.

I suppose it is there because they thought it could or should be if needed. I know there are places around here kept under lock and key to keep the places from being vandalized by people.

The topography is so different from Vermont. I love the way your camera embraces these long flat expanses soothed with water. Beautiful subtle palette here, too, Jacob.

I think they keep it locked too preserve the environment.

It's probably really a nice little hideaway for administrators who want to escape for the occasional weekend.
