Train signal to nowhere

The "old" train station in Spanish Springs is another example of how the people who run The Villages strive to bring a sense of authenticity to this Disneyland for adults. Thus, they installed an old train signal. Like the railroad car that sits nearby and the track on which it sits, it functions only as decoration.

Rather attractive, though.

Beautiful, very nostalgic, kudos to them for keeping their origin alive and thriving. Very refreshing.

PS: Do we smell a trip in the planning stages perhaps?

This sounds like such a nice place - Who would have thought they'd have a Disneyland for adults to live? hehehe

You must have such a good time living there

Hi Tricia - We don't live in The Villages (although we thought about buying a home there)...we live about 25 miles north in Ocala.

These days, though, the towns all seem to run together...

I've never seen such a train sign! It's really cool!

There's a bit of rust there, in a couple of years they'll have to change it (to stay in prim and clean Disneyesque style...)

I like this one a lot! The reds are super nice and the shapes are intriguing. Someond had a good idea and you saw it!
